Forest path in Beecraigs Country Park, West Lothian — documentary wedding photographer Scotland

Wedding Photographer West Lothian

West Lothian is where I'm based, and where I've chosen to be. There's something about this part of Scotland that doesn't shout. The palace rising above the loch, the forests, the green that isn't farmland but isn't wild either. It sits quietly between Edinburgh and the rest of Scotland, and most people drive through without stopping.

I've been feeding the birds at Linlithgow Loch since before I lived here. Now I live a few minutes away, and I still do it.

If you're looking for a wedding photographer who knows West Lothian not from a list of venues but from actually being here, that's me.

West Lothian Wedding Venues

West Lothian has some of Scotland's most extraordinary settings for a wedding, and most of them are within twenty minutes of each other.

Linlithgow Palace is the one that stops people in their tracks. A royal ruin on the edge of a loch, open to the sky. It photographs itself.

Hopetoun House is something different, grand, formal, the kind of estate that makes you feel like you've stepped into another century.
The grounds alone are worth the journey.

The Caves at Caird's Row and smaller boutique venues around the region suit couples who want something more intimate, less choreographed.

If you're drawn to West Lothian because of the landscape rather than a specific venue, that's usually a good sign we'll work well together.
